What Could Pain In Left Temple Radiating To Nose And Blood In Mucus Indicate?

I have pain on my left temple, it comes and goes, if I put my head down, it bothers me even more, it also effects my ear, and sometimes it goes from my eyebrows to my nose, I had a mri, and my blood sediment is normal, today I got this big mucus discharge in my throat, I spit it out in the grass, and noticed blood, with the mucus, it almost looked like a small blood cloth, , this really scared me, the same thing happened several months ago, and after that the pain disappeared. on my MRI my sinus was good, and it showed no abnormallities of my brain.my family DR. thinks it`s stress, but somehow it has to do with my sinus and ear. what kind of specialist should I approach for this. Thank you.

Hi,

As you had your MRI done and was normal, you don't need to worry about brain. Regarding the headache, it might be the any of the following like migraine, cluster headache, stress induced headache, or headache due to nasal spur. That bloody mucoid discharge from throat may be due to chronic cough, severe throat irritation as in pharyngitis, pulmonary tuberculosis, or any chemical or irritant ingestion.

You can consult an otorhinolaryngologist or ENT surgeon in this regard. As your brain is normal, an ENT specialist may examine the details of throat and nose and ear thoroughly and give you the result.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
