What Could Pain In Left Tonsil On Pressure Under Jawline Indicate?

I'm 17 years old, male, and I haven't been sick in a while, but my left tonsil hurts whenever I apply light pressure to it under my jawline and i can feel it, it almost feels like a pimple before it surfaces. I can't even feel the right one (it feels normal), and it's been this way for a few months now. It doesn't hurt to swallow and it doesn't hurt turn my head or anything. Only hurts when I touch it. I'm a bit concerned because it's been like this for so long, but stupidly enough only now am I actually worrying about it. any advice or diagnostics?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. You are touching exactly the site where the lymph node draining the tonsil and adjacent area is placed. Pressure on this point indicates you had an infection in the drainage area some or the other time, which may or may not have caused the symptoms. See if the tonsil or the teeth or the cheek inside have a focus of infection.

General & Family Physician Dr. Veera Raghava Rao Buddha.'s  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It might be due to some sub clinical infection of the right tonsil, may be secondary to the cold and pharyngitis.
I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have a culture and sensitivity of the throat swab for confirmation of the organism, and its sensitivity to the antibiotics, in order of the sensitivity.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and
protein rich foods to hasten the recovery.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
