Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a knot on the back of my head that is sore and is also making my neck sore. I have been sneezing a lot lately and have been very congested along with having a low grade fever of around 101. Is it an affect of an allergy, or have I just slept on it wrong? On that note, is it something to be concerned about?
These symptoms are the suggestive of an upper respiratory tract infection. The majority are caused by viruses and this generally needs no antibiotics for treatment. Controlling fever, pains and headache with Tylenol often suffice. The knot(swollen lymph node) are in response to this infection. There is no point in getting worried at this time unless something else comes up.
I hope this helps. I wish you well.
