Hello,
As per my clinical experience, the painful red spots near left shin with swollen foot indicates bacterial infection of skin or
subcutaneous tissue with gram positive bugs most likely.
The staph aureus is the usual bacteria responsible in such cases. The initial impact of minor
redness and
cellulitis later turns into residual skin eruptions, spread to its vicinity with systemic features of fever and else.
I would like to quote salient guidelines as:
- Immediate consulting with your primary care
- Foot elevation over 3 pillows support
- Prescription of IV antibiotics or oral depending upon the level of temperature, tenderness and supportive data fact of total WBC count
- Anti-inflammatory medicines with
diclofenac,
serratiopeptidase content
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
