Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain the symptoms of sore throat, body aches, fever and flu like symptoms seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection and it is viral infection and due to it only strep test that is for bacterial infection came back negative..
As the symptoms are relapsing it is due to relapse of viral infection..
The swelling of the palate is due to inflammation secondary to infection and you need not to worry as the infection will subside the swelling will also resolve..
I would suggest you to take Tylenol for fever, decongestatnst like Pseudoephadrine , take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, anti allergics like Levocetrizine, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room..
You can suck throat lozenges and can also chew Vitamin C pellets..
Avoid spicy and hard foods..
Maintain a good oral hygiene..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
