What Could Prolonged Fever And Chest Congestion While On Oxycodone And Gabapentin Indicate?
I have had a fever for 5 days. Started at 99 gradually went up 103. Next day down to 99 again now back to 100.5. No head congestion, only minor chest congestion. I also haven t had a bowel movement in 5 days, it s even hard to pass gas. I had a diskectomy 5 1/2 weeks ago on lower back and on oxycodone 7.5 and gabapentin for back and nerve damage pain. The pain melds keep my temp maintained but don t make it go away, any advice would be appreciated
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, viral infection may be the cause but secondary bacterial infection need to be ruled out, and for that better to get done the routine blood work, till then you can have the symptomatic medicines to control the fever take care for hydration, else this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care.
