What Could Protruding Soft Spot Above The Belly Button Indicate?
Hi there , I m a 35 year old male in fair shape but I have gut . Above my belly button and up to my soloplex is a 5 cm wide by 10 cm long soft spot that protrudes about one cm when I flex my stomach muscles . It s uncomfortabe but isn t painful. What could it be?

Your swelling could be related to spigelian hernia.You may have varied symptoms like vomiting,pain abdomen,loose motions etc.Get investigations like Ultrasound abdomen,complete blood picture,Urine culture and sensitivity immediately. Also monitor vitals regularly.Drugs like Antibiotics,Antacids,Anti histaminics and digestive syrup immediately by consulting your doctor.Take home based diet and ragi,oats,wheat,bajra and proteins.Avoid fried foods and snacks.Also exercise regularly.Take 3 to 4 litres of water regularly.Consult your gastro enterologist for expert management.
