What Could Pus Filled, Hard, Red Bump Under The Breast Indicate?

I have a red bump which is filled with puss which seems to have a hard core on the inside. It is very painful and the area is red. It is located under my left breast. My boyfriend tried squeezing it and I nearly died from the pain. Can it be a boil or abcess? There is a yellow puss filled point in the middle of it . I have been applyiing betadine ointment and the pain seems to be less and I can like touch the area. I squeezed lightly and some of the puss came out. Can the pill cause this because I just got this al of a sudden and usually when I take my pill and it gets to the white hormone pills i break out in achne. This bump also itches when I apply betadine but my mom said it will help. Please advise

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pus filled, hard, red bump under the breast which occurs due to infection of hair follicles leading to folliculitis. It could be due to frictional heat generation.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply topical antibacterial ointment such as mupirocin.Take Multivitamin supplements. Drink plenty of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet.Apply Adapalene gel once at night. Wash affected area with mild soap and cold water twice a day. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist once and start treatment accordingly.
