What Could Random Short Episodes Of Stabbing Pain In Tongue Indicate?

My daughter has had 2 episodes one today and one on Aug4th. She has a sharp pain on her tongue that leads up to her ear. She is 11 years old and it comes on fast and she says it is like someone is poking her with a knife. Each episode has been on a diffrent side of her face. She us unable to stick out her tongue because of the pain but it does not last longer than 5 minutes

Hi....By what you quote I feel that your daughter might be having trigeminal neuralgia and it needs neurological evaluation. It could also be a reactivation of varicella called shingles. i suggest you get in touch with a pediatric neurologist for this.
