What Could Recurrent Stench In Vagina With Pelvic Pain During Pregnancy Indicate?
I am in my 16th week of pregnancy. I have had a "rotten meat" like smell from my vagina that comes and goes since about the 5th week. I used Metrogel once/night for 5 nights and finished the last dose 2 nights ago. While using it the smell went away but today the smell has come back. I recently also started having frequent shooting/pulling pains throughout my pelvic area - anal, vaginal and lower abdominal. Sometimes the pain just stays and feels like clenching. What could this be? Is it dangerous to me and/or my baby?

Hello, your symptoms indicate that u are suffering from pid which means pelvic inflammatory disease. There is an infection in ur pelvic region. That is the reason u r getting these symptoms. To know the severity n effects of it u need to consult ur obstetrician and get check up done. If required do a ultrasound scan. U need to take antibiotics till the infection subsides completely.
