What Could Recurring, Blotchy, Red Rashes On Forearm Indicate?
Blotchy pinkish red rash on inside forearm...it comes and goes I notice around 1pm then somewhat subsides after I take off uniform...I also have a few itchy spots, not severe, a few on chest and trunk..my rash started on arm in may...in a small pink line I ve been using hydrocortisone cream. Noting..I have derm appointment coming up
Injudicious use of topical steroids like hydrocortisone is not good. Please stop and you haven't mentioned your age but by what you've posted I assume you're in high school. Probably you're having atopy; do you get frequent bouts of sneezing, running nose or rashes? Stop applying the steroid and your dermatologist will decide whether the topical steroid needs to be continued if so how long and how to apply. For the itching for temporary relief you can take tablet cetirizine 5mg if age >12years or half tablet 2.5mg(if age<12years) once at night.
