Hello,
Since you had a cardiac catherterization done a year before and now have
shortness of breath, pain in left arm and palpitations, you are suggested to get a follow up clinical examination by your treating cardiologist. Such symptoms may be indicative of heart blockage,
myocardial infarction, heart attack(silent), developing coronary artery disease (CAD), angina, etc.
However the other medical conditions associated with such symptoms may be
muscle strain,
rotator cuff trauma / injury, carpal tunnel issues etc. Get a complete health check up and cardiac check up done to be at the safer side. Get all blood tests, CBC, urinalysis, lipid function tests,
stress test, EKG, Imaging (X-ray, MRI / CT, etc) done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected 7 severity of your symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
