What Could Recurring Swelling In Ankles Post A Travel Indicate?

I was in Canada fishing for a week and riding 17 hours in a car and now my ankles are quite swollen. After resting for 9 hours horizontally, the swelling was better, but now coming back. Is this temporary and is there something more I can do to relieve this situation?

I really appreciate your concern, such position of riding for hours and seating or standings for hours may cause such swelling try to avoid riding and other for long time, keep the leg in elevated position it will reduce the swelling, hope this information may helps, tame care and have a nice day.
