What Could Recurring Urinary Discomfort And Symptoms Of Reactive Arthritis Indicate?

I am a male with recurring urinary discomfort and symptoms of reactive arthritis in my lower extremities. I have tested negative repeatedly for STDs. I suspect a mycoplasma or urea plasma infection. But there don t seem to be any local doctors who are familiar with these issues or who have the ability to test for them. How can I find a doctor who can test for mycoplasma or ureaplasma?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Recurring urinary tract infection (UTI) and reactive arthritis can be two separate disease processes or can be a part of one disease process.
Symptoms of UTI and reactive arthritis can occur together in syndrome called Reiter's syndrome.
Mycoplasma or Ureaplasma infection can also lead to similar symptoms.
Inorder to rule out these diseases, serological tests are required.
But before that a clinical assessment followed by relevant investigations is required.
Thus, consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.

Thanks and take care
