What Could Recurring Vaginal Discharge Indicate?

hi I m a women of 47 I have 4 children, but I have got a vaginal discharge, I have always had this for had long has I can remember , I had a couple of swabs taken & they come back clear, so what s causing it, I m really getting worried cause I think it might be cancers pls help

Hello,
Thanks for the concern. You have vaginal discharge since long time . vaginal discharge are of many types and it can also be associated with itching. Most common cause of vaginal discharge is candidiasis in which there is white Curdy discharge. For this type of infection you should keep the vaginal area clean, should wash that area at least two times in a day, vaginal area should be kept dry and you can put clotrimazole vaginal tablet in night for at least three days. You can also take antibiotics orally for 7 days. Take care
