What Could Recurring Yellow Vaginal Discharge Post Sex Indicate?

Hi.. I m 35 years old and have had the same sexual partner for several years now. I was diagnosed with HSV2 about a year ago. Ever since then I have constantly worried. Not sure where or when that happened. I feel as if tho I need to take a regimen constantly but haven t had an outbreak for some time now.. I constantly have a clear..yellowish discharge.. And it s a complete nuisance.. I can be standing there and have a sudden gush of discharge that is slightly yellow but with a metallic smell.. It s even worse the day after intercourse. I ve been common over the years for recurrent BV but the last pap I had was within a years time and completely normal. I ve tried the metro gel which seems to stop any and all discharge but only temporary.. What do you think this may be? Today I ve had an excessive amount of discharge but then again my partner and I had sex last night and he s had a vasectomy so he does not think he needs to stop when ejaculating. But then again I ve had lower abdominal pain while urinating and walking for hours today.. I m so confused and also work for my PCP so it s hard to explain this to him.. Please help.. Thanks

* As per my clinical experience, the recurrent yellow vaginal discharge post sex indicate various clinical possibilities as:

- Chlamydia infection
- Chronic gonorrhea
- Pelvic inflammatory conditions

- alterations in vaginal flora via pH changes

* In my clinic, I do recommend various tests after clinical examination as:

- complete hemogram
- vaginal and cervical swab with Nuclear amplification test
- sexually transmitted disease lab panel
- ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis
