What Could Red Blotches On Face Post Application Of Toothpaste On Pimples Indicate?

Hi, I think I may have gotten a skin burn on my face. Last night , I put toothpaste on my pipples and in the morning i noticed red blotching and some whelps. I washed off my face and applied some Palmer s Cocoabutter with collagen. I also noticed that the skin on the area appeared thinned. What can I do to naturally to heal the skin, to avoid further damage? Not sure if this matters but I am of African Canadian decent.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

As per your query red blotches on face because of sun burn is a very common problem . But you should not apply tooth paste on the affected area , because sometimes it can worsen the condition due to allergic reaction .

I would suggest you to :-

- Apply cold compresses several times a day for swelling , redness and discomfort .

- Apply broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 + even when you are not under sun exposure .

- Take anti histamine like benadryl for photo allergic reaction .

Start vitamin C tablets for quick recovery of skin.

Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes,
