General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
The problem seems to be following excessive loose motions/ extreme hard stools causing stress to anal orifice. Improper cleaning, unhygiene, rubbing hard while cleaning, using rough cotton cloth for cleaning aggravates it. Help him for having smooth normal stools by treatment. Clean anus properly with moist cotton and then dry cotton. Teach him self cleaning gradually. Apply the ointment gently after each clean. Let him wear soft hosiery underwear. He will need antibiotic for the pustules (oral, local). Please consult his doctor for local examination and specific antibiotic in specific dosage.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
