Hi, my son is 6 years old and his renal ultrasound result shows bilateral renal pelvicalyceal dilatation (left 8mm and right 7mm). his GP is not sure how clinically significant this result is. could you please give me some information and advice on what to do please?
hi, it need concern. renal pelvicalyceal dilation suggest that therre is obstruction below that level. it may be due to stone, stricture or mass lesion any thing can be there that obstruct your urine flow so urine statis occure and causing dilatation.consult nephrologist and search the cause and then take treatment accordingly thanks for using health care magic.
