What Could Severe Abdominal Pain With Bouts Of Vomiting Indicate?

Last night we came home from a trip and over the weekend we went out a lot and I are a lot of food. Before coming home I went to IHOP and ate a steak omelette with salsa, sour cream, and one avocado. The whole ride back home I hadn t had a problem. When I got home I did my homework for school tomorrow, then went to sleep. When I woke up I all of a sudden felt this pain in my stomach. This isn t the first time this has happened. About two years back the same thing happened in the middle of school. I quickly went to the office and was taken to the hospital by my dad but when I got there they told me I had a lot of fluids in my body. Well I ve used the bathroom two times today and I m still not feeling any better. I can t eat, and when I try to go to sleep I wake up with this same pain in my stomach, I ve thrown up 3 times today and still have this feeling what is happening to me.

Hi I did review your concern.
your problem can be due to acute food infection due to contamination. Sour cream as well as steak can be the likely source. Most common cause would be staphylococcus toxin poisoning or it could be acute gastroenteritis by infection by campylobacter or E.coli.
I would recommend taking adequate amount of water, salt and sugar and keep yourself dehydrated, there are oral rehydration syrups available in market which help in maintaining body fluids and electrolytes.
If the problems worsen I would recommend going to a doctor and get a stool test done and start on antibiotics.
I hope this helps
wish you all the best.
thank you for choosing hcm.
