General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Severe cramp-like pain in the stomach could be due to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastritis, stomach ulcer or hernia. Avoid high fat and oily foods, avoid outside foods, drink plenty of water, avoid lying down immediately after eating, avoid bending or straining like lifting heavy weights which could increasing pain. If the pain is not relieved, kindly see your doctor and they might advise ultrasound abdomen and pelvis to confirm.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
