Hi,
The mentioned symptoms suggests Telangectasia, also called as
spider veins, thread veins, broken veins or reticular veins. These are weak, small-medium veins with damaged valves and capillaries due venous reflex. The factors that can predispose to development of Spider veins are gender (females), age (advancing age), hereditary, obesity or over weight, pregnancy, lifestyle or occupation that requires prolonged standing, walking or sitting.
It is quite common condition, and does not imply any significant underlying
cardiovascular disease. In particular, Spider veins are treated for cosmetic purpose only using
laser therapy or
sclerotherapy. I suggest you to wear travel socks or mild compression socks when walking, sitting, standing or travelling for
prolonged periods. In addition, measures like regular brisk walking for 30 to 40 minutes per day, some weight reduction (if over weight) and elevating legs when sitting helps.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
