What Could Soft Bump On Left Side Of Neck And Severe Pain From Shoulder Blade Suggest?
I have had a egg size soft bump on the left side of my neck for about 6 mounths and severe pain from the upper part of the shoulder blade ending where the lump is. but the lump is not painful to the touch the pain is deep and not triggered by anything including touch
The lump is most likely a Cyst (localized collection of secretions), a Lymph Node (indicating an infection), a Lipoma (localized collection of fat) or a growth. It is apparently compressing the sensory nerve which supplies the part of the site where you have severe pain.
Removal of the lump will relieve the pressure on the concerned nerve and ease the immediately.
Consult a surgeon, who will examine the lump to assess its nature and remove it surgically.
