What Could Sore, Red Rashes Around The Area Of Hematoma Indicate?

I have been on holiday in Croatia and fell on stones in the sea and banged my shin on the stones. I did see a hospital doctor who informed me I Do have a haematoma. I have just returned from holidays and now have a very sore red area rash further down my leg. I have had some very sore bites from mosquitoes also. Should I go to my own doctor Tmor.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The hematoma can cause a red or dark discoloration to the skin and may be uncomfortable but is not normally associated with a rash like you are describing.

Since you have very sore mosquito bites then these may be the cause of the rash see.
If they are infected then treatment with antibiotics would be needed.

You would need to see your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
