What Could Spotting And Bleeding With Clots Between Periods Indicate?

I was suppose to get my period around May 10th. I spotted on the 13th (only) and started my period on the 16th until the 19th. On the 25th I started spotting and on the 26th spotted as well, on the 26th at night i started bleeding with small blood cloths and today is the 27th and i am still bleeding and i am cramping with lower back pain. Just a little history, i do not take birth control and i never have any issues spotting. It is the first time i have actually spotted and I am 29 years old. I set up an appointment with my gynecologist, but not until late next week . Any idea whats going on with me?

Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to fibroids or a hormonal imbalance. As bleeding is not heavy, there is no reason to panic. It can wait until consulting with your gynecologist. I recommend taking ibuprofen or Buscopan for the cramps.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
