What Could Spreading Dry Patches On Mid Back And Inner Thigh Indicate?

Hi. I m writing to you because just recently (4 days ago) I found 2 little dry patches on my mid back and inner thigh. They don t itch unless I irritate it by touching it. Now today I have a total of 4 or 5. ( I can t tell if the 5th one is one or not) I need to know what s going on so I can treat it before it becomes a big issue. Please help. Jazzy schoen

Hello,

I have gone through your query and it seems to be patches of discoid eczema. I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily along with the frequent and regular application of a moisturizing lotion on the entire body 2-3 times daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
