What Could Squishy Lump In The Area Of Marsupialization For Bartholins Cyst Indicate?
I had marsupilisation for a bartholins cyst which turned into an abscess in March.. the hole is still there and I have noticed today a squidgy lump forming again... what could this be.. please help im desperate as i go away on friday and cannot deal with the pain of an abscess again. it was terrible/

Hello,
You have history of having been done marsupialization for Bartholin's cyst. Now you are experiencing lump forming again. You also have pain and the abscess makes you feel distressed. Recurrence after marsupialization is rare. But since it occurred, its indicative of chlamydia and gonococcal infection. You are suggested to get clinically examined and get tested for gonococcal and chlamydial infection. You may need a course of broad-spectrum antibiotics.
If an abscess ruptures spontaneously by itself, you may need only sitz baths, antibiotics and pain medication. But if it does not, the treating doctor may recommend drainage or excision as the need may be. You will be treated and managed accordingly. Get treated at the earliest. Neglect may lead to further complications. To ease pain you can take tab Combiflam or Naproxen, one SOS after food.
