What Could Stomach Ache In A Teenager With Tightness In Right Side Indicate?

My daughter is 15 yrs old. She has been complaining about a stomache ache on and off the last week. I pressed down on the stomache area and the lower bottom right is tight and she says it hurts. She has not been sick to her stomache but complains that she has the feeling in her throat like she s going to be. She may on and off fevers but I haven t checked regularly as I work full time and she s home for summer break.

I have gone though your history thouroghly. It seems your daughter most probably may be suffering from Appendicitis. Other causes of may be gastritis , dysfunctional uterine bleeding, pevlic inflammatory disease, polymenorrhoea or acute cholecystitis.

It is highly recommended to go for ultrasound of abdomen as soon as possible to confirm diagnosis before starting any treatment.

Till then for relief of the symptoms tab.dicyclomine as known as tab.meftal spas can be given twice a day after food.
