Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could Stomach Pain, Bloating, Chills And Fever Post Polyp Removal Indicate?
In 2012, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and found during a colonoscopy. Dr. De vow monitored my condition for the last two year. On 10/14, I had an Endoscopy and a Colonoscopy. Bending polyps and mucus were remove and diagnosed bening. Since 12/14, I have been experiencing stomach pain, bloating, bloating chills, low grade fever, and lost 10 pounds the last three months. What do you recommend.
I recommend checking CEA and CA19.9 plasma levels in order to exclude a possible malignancy. Regarding the fever, I would recommend performing further tests: - Complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation - A stool analysis - A urine bacterial culture - A chest X-ray study - An abdominal ultrasound - A blood bacterial culture
Further tests may be needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
