Hi, I just got up from laying on a lounge chair walked inside the house maybe 3-4 steps, got extremely dizzy ,stopped walking, blacked out and fell to the floor. Then I woke up/Un blacked out... Why did that happen? I sometimes get dizzy from sitting to standing but I ve never completely lost control to where I blacked out and fell..

Hi, whenever you get up suddenly from lying down position due to gravity there is a sudden and rapid deviation of blood flow to your legs. When this happens there is a sudden but momentary decrease in blood flow to brain due to what you get dizziness and black out sessions. So it is advisable to sit first and then get up slowly. If inspite of doing this you frequently get black outs please visit a doctor. Feel free to ask any queries further. Thanks.
