What Could Sudden Double Heartbeat With Slight Twinges Of Pain In Heart Mean?

Hi, I m a 22 year old female who has always been relatively healthy with no severe health issues. Also, my family history does not have any history of heart problems. Two days ago my heart started randomly double beating and triple beating. I feel it against my rib cage around the area where you would normally check the apical pulse. It feels like the apex of my heart is the only part beating like this. Also I feel slight twinges of pain, but I have not had any notable chest pain, shortness of breath, or dizziness.

from your description it appears like you are having VPCs ( ventricular premature contraction). most of the time it is transient and innocuous. since you have no other symptoms there is no need for further evaluation. if you have recurrent palpitation let us know
