Dr. Rynne, Just moments ago I was bending down and tickling and playing with my daughter who is 15 months old. All of a sudden I had the sensation of fluid leaking from my nose, quite like a nose bleed. I was snorting like a pig to tickle her and at first I thought I might have just inhaled some dribble, since she tends to do that alot. However when I stood up to wipe my nose it kept coming and began to feel more so like a nose bleed and I could feel it collect in a drop at my septum (right nostril only). I touched it and it drained into my hand, about a teaspoon amount. I washed my hands and remained upright for a bit and it seemed to slow. I went back to playing with my daughter and it happened again but in much more volume. So I remained upright for about 10 minutes while it continued to drain slightly. I treated it like a bloody nose and tilted my head back and plugged my nostril with a tissue until it stopped. Should I head to the emergency room, make an appointment with my medical provider, or is it nothing?
