Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
As per your complain sudden swelling of the glands under the jaw line can be due to swollen submandibular salivary glands and sudden swelling commonly occurs due to blockage of the ducts of submandibular salivary gland with some foreign body or stone formation within the ducts of salivary glands..
The swelling becomes more evident during meals as the saliva flow increases during meals..
The swelling of gland next to and under the ear can be due to swelling in
parotid gland and it can also be due to blocked duct because the swelling keeps decreasing while in infection swelling will not fluctuate and is consistent..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he/she can advise you to get an
MRI of the salivary glands done to rule out the exact cause of swelling and treat accordingly..
For stones either manual removal if hey are superficial or surgical removal guided by endoscope [Sialoscope] can be done to remove obstruction..
Infections can be treated with antibiotics and
steroids..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
