What Could Swollen Glands With Muscle Pain Suggest?

Last week I had a feeling I was coming down with something for a few days (I have not been sick in 5 years). Glands a bit swollen at neck; ears sort of clogged like a cold coming. by thursday I ached in muscles extremities and now with 2 days rest, some ache also in abodomen left side. i am 59. is this some type of flu

Difficult to say whether it is flu, but looks like some kind of infection with lymph node enlargement.This needs few investigation to determine cause and site of infection.You will have take a course of antibiotics.Regards.
