What Could Swollen Gums And Slight Movement Of Bottom Gum While Brushing Indicate?

Hi
I'm petrified of the dentist but I think there's something wrong with my gums. Th front teeth and the bottom front teeth the gums are swollen and if I brush especially the bottom one it's kind of moves. I'm so so scared of dentist I literally panic going into a dental practice but at the same time I don't want my teeth to fall out. I recently quit smoking so my teeth can get back in shape. Any ideas or suggestion?

Welcome to Healthcare Magic..

I have gone through your query and can very well understand your health concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have inflammation of the gums causing swelling of the gums..

It can occur commonly due to poor oral hygiene as well as few other reasons like hormonal imbalances [most in ladies], smoking, stress, mouth breathing, nutritional deficiency mostly vitamin C, medicines such as anticonvulsants etc..

You should consult a dentist and get evaluated and he can do a thorough scaling of your teeth to remove the infectious deposits and also advise you a short course of antibiotics and painkillers along with topical gum paint application.
You can also do warm saline gargles and gargle with antiseptic mouthwash..
Use a soft toothbrush to brush your teeth..
Chew a vitamin c candy daily for 15 days..
Maintain a good oral hygiene and totally stay away from smoking..
Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
