Hello,
Pin and needles sensation usually represent
peripheral neuropathy.
I do not think this symptom to be due to Osteoarthritis or spurs in knee.
Because pin and needle sensation are always nerve related.
t's not always easy to find the cause of peripheral neuropathy because a number of factors can cause neuropathies.
Few common causes are
1. Diabetes (both type 1 and type 2) is the most common cause of peripheral neuropathy. Over time, the high blood sugar levels associated with diabetes can damage the nerves. This type of nerve damage is known as
diabetic polyneuropathy. Please check your blood sugar.
2. Autoimmune diseases like
rheumatoid arthritis. Plese check for any anti nuclear antibodies.
3.
Vitamin B12 deficiency. Please check your B12 level in blood.
B vitamins, including B-1, B-6 and B-12, are particularly important to nerve health.
4.
Hypothyroidism. Check your thyroid hormone levels.
Please write back with investigation reports. Hope this helps.
Wishing you good health.
