What Could The Swelling Of Breasts With Soreness Mean?

Hi I have a sore right breast and it feels like there is a thick mass - not lump in it - it extends to the armpit, no reddness or swelling that I can see - I discovered it Monday night as I rolled over in bed. I am 67 yrs of age and I was 58 when I finished my periods

Hello,
Welcome to HCM
AS your age is 67 and as you have already reached menopause, soreness of the breast (that too one side) is suspicious of some tumour of the breast (benign or malignant).
So,i would suggest you to consult your gynecologist as soon as possible for proper physical examination and diagnosis.
Hope you are happy with the answer.
Thank you
