What Could Thick Jelly Like Mucus And Blood Discharge From Rectum Indicate?
Thick jelly like mucus coming from rectum. Smells almost dead smelling will sometimes get small almost 2 inches in length a little thicker than hair strands out with mucus. Tonight I am bleeding ALOT out of rectum bright red turned toilet completely red from all the blood that squirted out. I am not constipated I go regularly... Have been having some bloating though that seems alittle off I just had a baby almost 2 months ago but the jelly substance I have been getting for well before I was pregnant it s just getting worse...
Dehydration and constipation can be important cause of mucus in stools. Presence of mucus in stool, can also be a sign of bacterial infections, anal fissures, a bowel obstruction, or Crohn’s disease.
Adequate hydration, increased fibre in diet can reduce the symptoms. Liquid paraffin syrup can be taken at night to soften stool. In case of infections, blood and mucus can occur in stools. Antibiotics should be administered to treat bacterial infections.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
