Hi, Excess mucus may be produced by your body inorder to lubricate your nasal passages. Unless there is no foul smelling discharge or excessive crusting and bleeding,you need not worry. Kindly rule out any fungal infections or sinusitis or long standing respiratory tract infections which can also cause such symptoms. Saline nasal drops can be taken three drops three to four times a day in order to clear your nasal passages. Antibiotic course may be required in case of suspected infections.
