What Could Throat Blocking Be After Meals During 9 Weeks If Pregnancy?

I am 9 weeks pregnant. I am having a feeling like something is stuck in my throat after I ve been eating for the past couple days. Also a little feeling of choking and like I have to cough. Any idea what that can be? My throat also feels tightened. No trouble breathing though.

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

During pregnancy, hormones actually make your bowels work slower and also increase a problem called Reflux disease. This involves your stomach acid coming back up into your esophagus. This is a problem even in early pregnancy and is virtually guaranteed to get worse over time. You should consider over the counter antacids and contact your doctor for further recommendations or evaluation.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
