What Course Of Treatment Should Be Given For Swollen Adenoids In A Child?

My child was diagnosed with swollen adenoids.we are giving him Nasonex nasal spray from last 2 months. He still gets ocassional cough nd cold for which he was advised Alaspan & livolen. Even after giving the above medicines (liquid syrup) he is continously sneezing. His breath is also disturbed. He is 3 yrs old

Hi,

I suggest you take antibiotics for 5 days. Please do steam inhalation regularly so that there wont be infection.

Avoid having cold food stuffs for sometime. Follow all these and still if it persists you may have to remove it surgically which is the last treatment.
