What Cream Can Be Used To Lighten Black Marks Due To Scratching?
goodmorning doctor..doctor i have developed some black marks on my legs due to scratching can you suggest some cream to lighten them and further i wanted to ask i have a fair skin and whenever i do waxing i develop som red red small rashes like things on my legs what should i apply to avoid them
Hello, Thank you for posting on HCM. The dark marks you have developed is called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Apply a cream conatining Hydroquinone and mometasone at bedtime over dark spots for few weeks. Red rashes you develop after waxing must be simple folliculitis (infection of hair roots) or contact dermatitis due to the substance used for waxing. Apply an antibiotic cream containing mupirocin after wax, if the problem still persists use cream containing mometasone and fusidic acid combination. Try to change the products/brands used for waxing. Hope this will take care of your issue. thank you, Dr Hardik Pitroda
