What Diagnosis Of Skin Infection Is Papular Urticaria Like Formation On Forehead?
My child ,3yrs old has skin infection. Not able to find out the reason. First he treated for scabies. Skin lesions subsided. But again papular urticaria like formed on forehead, hand(3/4), and leg (3/5). AEC done 894cells/cumm. We think he is allergic to some food.. His maternal grand father is allergic to meats exept chicken.
I have gone through your query. Normal AEC should be below 350. Your son has high AEC. This may be due to Autoimmune disease, Hay fever, Eczema, asthma. It can be due to parasite infection like worms. As the rashes are urticaria, he may be allergic to some food or to temperature change. Avoid the allergens you know about. He may be given a single dose of Albendazole for worms, antihistamine like levocetrizine for rashes and steroid like deflazacort, but only after consulting a local pediatrician and dermatologist.
