What Diet Is Advisable For Pre Diabetic Condition?

Hi, I had a blood test done end of November. Dr. says I am prediabetes, However I am 5Ft 7 in tall and I weigh 120. I chase kids all day at Head Start: I also work part time at Macys. I basically eat fruits and vegs Someone told me I should try to add protein, like eggs. I do eat peanut butter and almond butter. I am unsure of what else to do to change my diet. What advise would you recommend? Thanks Cindy

Principle of Dietary advice is that add fibre to food and cut simple carbs. Avoids too much oily/fatty food, no junk foods, don't reheat or overheat the cooking oil. So Veggies with fibres and yes protein you must have at1-2g/kg body weight ( unless there is any other indication for extra requirement/restrictions). Exercise it seems you are doing it. atleast half an hour to 45mins of brisk walk 5days in a week. Hope it helped you to get a broad idea.
