What Diet Is Recommendable For Typhoid And Malarial Patient?
my mother went for a typhoid and malarial test and d result was positive and d doctor told her not to eat rice, Garri and dat she can only eat wheat and unripe plantain with beans and she is complaining dat finds it difficult eating those foods dat doctor ask her to eat. please in dat case wat can we do?
HI. This all depends upon how many days have elapsed since appearance of symptoms and the since when is the treatment started.
The diet advised at one place is not prescribed at other places. The simple thing is if the disease is just diagnosed recently and treatment started just now- you can give her anything which is known to be easily digested , like well cooked foods, which the patient knows suits her the best. To take plenty of oral fluids, fruits, milk , curd, well cooked rice and so on.
I repeat: Ask your Mother what suits her. Typhoid is the infection of the last part of the 20 feet-long intestine , so do not worry .
