sugars are good, but still follow certain things to have a balanced diet.
1. First thing to do is to make your meals small and consume 5 times a day.
2. consume more of whole grains like whole wheat , brown rice, brown bread, whole wheat pasta, oats and whole breads rather than refined cereals like white bread, cornflakes,white rice, refined wheat pasta.Stick to the portion size.
3. Include any one protein source in each meal like egg, chicken without skin,lean meats ,fish, bean,dals and nuts.
4. Avoid simple sugars like fruit juices, cooldrinks, beverages, sweets, cakes, pastries.
5. Consume whole fruit, 2-3 fruits in a day.Medium size fruits like apple, orange pears,peaches one, others fruits which are big in size 1 cup.
6. Eat lots of raw vegetables in the form of salad as it helps in stabilising sugar levels.
7. Do 30 minutes of walking daily as physical exercise, dont go for straining exercises like running, jogging, skipping as your pregnant.
7. More over try to avoid certain goitrogenic foods like cabbage, cauliflower, brocolli, soyabean, peanuts, greentea ,coffee as they affects the
thyroid functioning.
8. Regularly monitor your sugar levels before and after meals .Dont forget to take thyroid medicine daily.Do your thyroid test every month Or as per your gynaecs advise.
