Hi
I have gone through your complaints
If i were your treating doctor
I would have done
Stool culture and sensitive, ova and parasite exam, venereal disease laboratory test to rule out infective causes of proctitis.
Infective proctitis are usually self remitting and can be treated with antibiotics such as penicillins or cephalosporins.adequate hydration with electrolyte replenishment is mandatory in such situation.
Secondly i would like to rule out
inflammatory bowel disease and
radiation proctitis.
If you dont have proctitis associated with inflammatory bowel disease then you wont get any cancer related to rectum or colon.
For inflammatory bowel disease you will need drugs such as 5ASA,
sulfasalazine etc.
you should take diet high in fiber ie vegetables, fruits maize and bran bread etc with plenty of water.you can also use stool softeners such as
cremaffin.
sucralfate and steroid enemas are also helpful.anti oxidants such as vitamen E should be taken
In my opinion you should consult your gastroenterologist to rule out IBD and radiation proctitis.
Thanks.
Hope you got your answer
Your further questions will be appreciated
Wish you good health
