What Diet Plan Is Recommended While Taking Aspirin And Synthroid For BPPV?

My Mom was suffering from Benign Paroxysmal Postural Vertigo. The medications that she was taking are aspirin 81 mg, Benecar 5mg, Crestor, Pepcid(famotidine) and Synthroid. My Mom doesn t eat fatty foods, she was very careful and she eats only fish, chicken, vegetables and fruits. She eats beef once in a while. I was afraid if she was lacking of iron too. She weighs only 85 pounds and her height was 4 feet and 8 inches. It is advisable for her to eat a lot of fatty fish to alleviate her suffering from arthritis? My main concern is, that there will be a food and drug interaction from the medications that she was taking. Please explain it to me very well. What will be the significance of Synthroid in her medical condition?Sincerely,Daniel

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Synthroid is for low thyroid hormones (check T3, T4 and TSH) levels and then can continue medicine! Well, your diet should include juices, vegetables, fruits and salads. More fatty or non-veg food is not good for her for sure! Continue medicines and have follow up at least monthly!

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
