General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
To have vaginal bleeding after 30 years of menopause is not possible. In old age (such bleeding must be investigated (30 years after menopause) to exclude malignancy (that is first possible diagnosis for the bleeding at her age.
You should tell her, that the investigation is to affirm normality of her uterus OR to exclude it's connection with breast lump. So that specific plan for treatment can be found out (so that she will not take it negetively).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
