What Do Abdominal Pain, White Stools With Fluctuating Bilirubin Levels Suggest?
My bilirubin level was 1.37 and sgpt was 122 in 22 May 2015. I have taken 5 days rest and it decreases to 0.92 (bilirubin) and 75 (sgpt) . after 5 days it again increased to 1.3 (bilirubin) and 94 (sgpt). After taking regular glucose and liquid I have tested blood after 10 days. The result shows 1.03( Bilirubin) and 99(sgpt).Doctor told me on 13 May 2015 i dont need to test further. but from yeasterday again i am feeling abdomen pain and stool is white. Please advice me
Your findings suggests raised SGPT and bilirubin level. Increased SGPT may indicate liver injury. It may be due to many reasons like hepatitis, alcohol intake, fatty liver, auto immune causes etc. Increased SGPT may be due to hepatitis in your case as bilirubin level is also increased.
You may need few more investigations like routine hemogram, lipid profile, viral markers,ANA estimation and ultrasound of abdomen. I suggest tablet ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily for three months to my patients. It helps in regeneration of liver cells. Further requirement of medicines depend upon findings. You should avoid fatty food.
